2. In short

This is a personal portfolio website. It does not use cookies, tracking, analytics or advertising. All fonts, images and videos are stored on this website itself, so no data is sent to Google or other third parties when you view it. Personal data is only processed where it is technically necessary to deliver the website, and when you contact me.

3. Hosting (GitHub Pages)

This website is hosted by GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit the website, GitHub logs your IP address for security purposes. This also happens if you do not have a GitHub account. GitHub may additionally process technical information such as date and time of access, browser type and operating system.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is a secure and reliable presentation of my website. GitHub is located in the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR), in which GitHub participates. More information: GitHub Privacy Statement.

4. Contact by email

If you contact me by email, I process the data you send me (e.g. your name, email address and message) in order to answer your request. The contact form on this website does not send any data itself: it only opens your own email program with a pre-filled message, which you then send yourself.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a possible collaboration, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in answering messages). I delete your data as soon as it is no longer needed, unless legal retention periods apply. My emails are handled by my email provider WEB.DE (1&1 Mail & Media GmbH, Germany).

5. Links to Instagram

This website contains simple links to Instagram. No data is sent to Instagram when you view this website. Only when you click a link and open Instagram does Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. process your data; their own privacy policy applies there.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, simply send me an email.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for me: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
